It's the holidays, and among the endless 24 hour runs of "A Christmas Story" or the James Bond marathon, a glowing beacon of comedy calls out. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which was released 25 years ago this month, stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, and features future stars Johnny Gilecki and Juliette Lewis, as well as one of Randy Quaid's most memorable roles!
Really, though, who puts a down payment on pools anymore? Just take a cash-out refinance to pay for that sucker!

One of the biggest action movies to come out of 1987 (and trust us, there is PLENTY of competition) was also, first and foremost, a CHRISTMAS movie! Mel Gibson dialed up his inner crazy for his follow up to Thunderdome with Lethal Weapon! Danny Glover stars alongside Mel, with notable appearances by Gary Busey and Tom Atkins. One thing is for sure, we are definitely NOT too old for this s#@%!

Our string of box office duds resumes with this 1994 classic! That's right, this film barely made back it's money, after being released not once, but TWICE!
Maybe next time they'll get a banker convict to do their books! Seriously though, Clay has NEVER seen the movie, and that was only the second surprise in our research.
This episode features a guest appearance from another fan (we pander, because we love!). Our friend Cody joins us to get into the meat of the movie and help us understand what it is we all love about this great film.

Back to the Future - what more can we say? We enjoyed talking about this movie because for all of us here in the Walltower, it's one of our all time favorite movies ever!
Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd star in a truly "modern classic" film, and there is some really interesting stuff that we found out about this movie. Check it out and feel free to share your experiences and opinions on Facebook or Twitter!

Movies which attain cult status are rare, and there is no surefire formula for creating one. Clue (1985) is the perfect example here! The cast has a list of stars that could put a modern blockbuster to shame, and yet this film did rather poorly at the box office in 1985.
Featuring a special guest commentator, Brandon, Clay and Jarod dissect the film, explore some trivia, and try to figure out what it is about Clue that made it such a cult phenomenon!

And we're back! 1994 was twenty years ago. Christian Slater had just started balding, so he was still attractive enough to be the leading man in one of the most amazing films written by Quentin Tarantino.
That's right, episode 11 is none other than True Romance! The cast has so many big names that it's amazing it was made for less than Julia Roberts' one-movie price tag (and she's one big name that ISN'T in this movie).
For his birthday, we let Jarod pick the film for review, so sound off on Facebook or Twitter and let us know if he picked a winner!

Baseball is America's sport, and there's nothing more American than Charlie Sheen (drugs and debauchery), Wesley Snipes (tax evasion), Dennis Haysbert (the concept of insurance), and Tom Berenger (aging badly)! We're joined by the hosts of the Dirty Sports Podcast, Joe Praino (@fixyourlife) and Andy Ruther (@AndyRuther), for one of the most classic sports comedies of all time!
Remember kids: Jesus saves, but Jobu hits curveballs!

Halloween is here! We're releasing (unleashing?) a very special episode on our loyal (unsuspecting?) fans just in time for the craziest holiday of the year! John Carpenter premiered this film in 1978, and subsequently changed October for everyone. Michael Myers has come back home, and nobody is safe!

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost star in their first installment of the Cornetto (or Blood and Ice Cream) trilogy! The movie is one part romantic comedy and one part zombie flick, and with any other director it would have been a trainwreck, but thanks to the capable hands of Edgar Wright, the film turned out to be a defining moment for these three English louts. So sit back, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over!

Lucky number Seven! 1979 was a big year for a group of actors who got together with a relatively unknown director named Ridley Scott to film a science fiction-horror movie called "Star Beast!" This movie later became Alien, one of the most iconic and well crafted horror movies EVER (that's a fact... you can look it up!)
