1996 was Matthew McConaughey's year. He stars in this taut thiller based on the book by John Grisham. Samuel L Jackson, Kevin Spacey, Sandra Bullock, and Oliver Platt round out an exceptional cast, which comprises 6 Oscar Winners!
This is Joel Schumacher at his best, pulling out all the stops and really moving things along. While the plot of the movie is based on tragic events, the events, people, and set dressing are all superb and full of life. We found some great info and behind the scenes stuff for this episode, and marked it with a milestone: our first repeat guest!

It's been nearly a decade since Children of Men debuted in 2006. Alfonso Cuaron crafts a chilling near-future set in London, starring Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Not many people saw this film when it came out, and it has a cult-like following, but trust us: it's for good reason!
Not bad for a guy whose previous film was a Harry Potter movie!

We're breaking into the 40s with one of the biggest August blockbusters of all time: Guardians of the Galaxy! Join us for a deep discussion on the mechanics of a good soundtrack, how many different colors Zoe Saldana has been, and whether or not Clay knows anything about music!

It's hard to believe we've put out 40 episodes so far. Captain America: Winter Soldier is a great movie to bring us over the hill (no matter what Eric says).
Chris Evans, Samuel L Jackson, Robert Redford, ScarJo, and Anthony Mackie bring the movie to life in one of the most successful Marvel movies to date. The Russo brothers directed this sequel to the least successful Marvel movies to date and bring a great perspective to the MCU. If you haven't seen it yet, you probably should: it is without a doubt a huge precursor to Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Thor 2 is the most successful Thor movie to come out yet! It was also the 3rd lowest grossing Marvel Movie in the new MCU! Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Natalie Portman all reprise their roles and are joined by Rene Russo, Christopher Eccleston, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Mr. Eko from Lost)! Also, I just wanted an excuse to make people stumble over Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje :)
Depsite the box office performance, the movie was surprisingly entertaining and we provided a great analysis (if we do say so ourselves, and we do)!

Friends, this week we kick off our series on Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with one of the best movies to come out of it: Iron Man Three!
In this episode, we begin a new segment (which we will cleverly, and shamelessly, call "Quiz Show")! We will pit two hosts against one another in a battle of wits! Who will emerge the victor, and whom will emerge witless? Only time will tell!

Yes, loyal fans, it took us 36 episodes to get you a Kevin Smith movie, but damn if we don't have one of our all-time fan favorites! Wait, 36, is that including this one?
That's right, 37 episodes... IN A ROW! This week, we're exploring Clerks, 1994's indie fan favorite and the springboard that launched Kevin Smith's career. The fat man who loves Batman just wants to make movies for his friends, so sit back, kick up your feet, and let us do unspeakable things to your ear holes while we discuss Clerks!

Of all of the Martin Scorsese directed flicks, Casino is one of the all-time greats. The movie has some of the best mob actors of all time, and the script's flowing, F-bomb laden words have some of the snappiest delivery since Goodfellas.
We loved this movie, and not only because you see someone's eye pop out of his head. Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci, James Woods, and Don Rickles pull off some of the most memorable scenes in moden cinematic history.

We've released 35 episodes and now 4 of them are ALL ABOUT MARVEL!
The Avengers is one of the best all-time comic book movies ever released, both critically and commercially! We wrap up our Age of Ultron celebration this week with Joss Whedon's most high profile accomplishment yet.

We continue our string of Marvel movies with the last movie to be released before The Avengers: "Captain America: The First Avenger"
Chris Evans had enormous shoes to fill (at least, later in the movie) in bringing an aged, old-fashioned icon into the forefront of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanks to strong direction, a well crafted story, and some foresight, Captain America is arguably one of the most entertaining movies to come out of Phase 1!
